[Verse 1]
The candles burned but left no light,
Only echoes in the silent night.
I gathered pieces of what remained,
Praying the fire didn't win again.
Shadows painted halos on the wall,
Ashes like confessions as they fall.
Every breath was tasting like goodbye,
Every question hanging in the sky.

[Chorus]
Welcome to the church of ashes,
Where every broken hope still burns.
Kneeling in the smoke and crashes,
I’m waiting for the tide to turn.
If I could wash away these chapters,
Would I still be who I am?
Welcome to the church of ashes,
Where I learn to rise from what I damaged.

[Verse 2]
I wear the scars like Sunday clothes,
Trying to hide what everybody knows.
I learned to smile with trembling hands,
Building faith from splintered plans.
You said that loss could be a guide,
But every road kept pulling me inside.
I watched us crumble like a shrine,
Still I lit a match for one last sign.

[Chorus]
Welcome to the church of ashes,
Where every broken hope still burns.
Kneeling in the smoke and crashes,
I’m waiting for the tide to turn.
If I could wash away these chapters,
Would I still be who I am?
Welcome to the church of ashes,
Where I learn to rise from what I damaged.

[Bridge]
Maybe grace is just a slow surrender,
Letting go of what I can’t remember.
All the names and all the old disasters,
Falling quiet, fading faster.
If there’s a god inside this mess,
Maybe it’s just learning to confess
That I am more than all I’ve lost,
More than every bridge I’ve crossed.

[Chorus]
Welcome to the church of ashes,
Where every broken hope still burns.
Kneeling in the smoke and crashes,
I’m waiting for the tide to turn.
If I could wash away these chapters,
Would I still be who I am?
Welcome to the church of ashes,
Where I learn to rise from what I damaged.

[Outro]
In the quiet after all the flames,
I whisper all my ruined names.
From every ember, softly, slowly,
I build a self I might die knowing.
In this church of ash and dust,
I’m learning how to finally trust.
Every loss and every scar I’ve carried,
Is a prayer I never had to bury.
